"I was so excited about having a photographer at the birth of my first child so we could capture all those special moments that are easily forgotten about. After an extremely fast labour, changing from a home birth to a hospital birth last minute, and Meli joking prior to not having our baby on this day due to other commitments, she was a star and managed to get to the hospital just in time. Meli captured everything so beautifully, whilst being as she said, "a fly on the wall". Her presence was so warming and comforting, and even when I did notice her in the room it was like I had known her my whole life. Thank you so much for everything Meli, we will definitely treasure our beautiful photos forever, xx."

"To be honest, I loved the idea of birth photography but wasn't completely comfortable with the idea of having someone other than my husband and midwife at my son's birth. Words cannot express how anxious and nervous both my partner and I were about having birthing photography done, however, Meli was amazing right from the first-ever meeting. She made me feel completely comfortable and made me excited to experience not only the birth of my first child but also excited that I would have memories of that beautiful day to cherish for the rest of our lives. The day of the birth started early hours of the morning at the birthing centre and Meli was right there being so calm and amazing. I remember her saying to me that she was just going to be “a fly on the wall“, however she was so much more. She fetched water, spoke with my family ran around after me as well as taking some of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen in my life. My Whānau and I cannot thank you enough for all you did for us on that special day and for capturing our most precious memories. We love the photos and we love your work.
